Little Cupcakes Philosophy
We at Little Cupcakes Child Care believe that the first years of a child’s life is the most important, helping to lay the foundation for all intellectual and emotional development to follow. Through nurturing and individualized attention, we take great care to provide a warm, friendly, and fun environment for your child, while ensuring they receive the guidance and structure they need. Our goal is to provide a place where your child knows they are accepted, loved, protected, and wanted; helping to instill in each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose. Our job is to make sure that each child has numerous positive experiences and interactions throughout each day. It is our hope that when the day is done, and children go home, they feel happy and proud of themselves; eager to express the happenings of their day to you.
We understand how difficult it must be to leave your child in someone else’s care. Because of this, we can appreciate the trust you must put in us on a daily basis. Our goal is to build your trust by being professional, dependable, honest, and most importantly , caring for your child the same way we would want our own children to be cared for. Good communication between parent and provider is a very important part of quality child care. We are committed in creating a bond with you and your child, helping to ensure the best start to your child’s life. Our goal is that you feel completely confident and reassured when you leave your child in our care.
We have a commitment to provide quality care which encourages an attitude of mutual respect, open relationships and support between staff, children, families and management. We believe that children need to be treated as individuals and feel safe and secure, with opportunities for learning through play, interacting with others, and being involved in making decisions. We encourage all staff to work effectively as a team, continually updating their skills, knowledge and interest through formal and informal development.
Our staff works to empower children and promote individuality by creating an environment that helps young children attain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional achievements, preparing them for the next step in life. Each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. Providing children access to hands-on activities and allowing them adequate time and space to use the materials, creates an opportunity for individual discovery and construction of knowledge to occur. Children build confidence with activities like reading, block building, dramatic play, creative art, science, music and movement. Children will explore the learning centers which encourage socialization skills, self-esteem, self-help and cognitive skills.
